Perpich Center for Arts Education Wants You!

We are looking for two to four strong arts education supporters to serve as volunteer advocates at the Minnesota legislature during this winterís session.

These volunteers will be working closely with the center’s legislative committee. We hope to draw from our alumni and/or parents (current or alumni).
An advocate needs to be able to devote a significant amount of hours to attending committee meetings or hearings, making appointments with key legislators and helping to prepare materials and presentations that highlight the important work being done by the statewide high school, Crosswinds, outreach and professional development and the library.
The hours would be irregular and sometimes last-minute, but the work has exciting and deeply rewarding moments.
We recognize we’re asking for a sizable commitment for no pay and that only a small number of you might have the freedom and ability to respond. But for those who can, it will provide an opportunity to support the center’s work in a very meaningful and lasting way and to gain excellent experience in government relations. It would be a substantive addition to a resume.
If you want to find out more about this opportunity or feel ready to make this commitment, please contact Peggy Rader.
