Lots of Perpich folks in new reality music series on TV
A locally produced six-part television program, “American Studio,” featuring local musicians who get 24 hours to record and produce a song and a video, is being directed by 2013 Perpich media arts graduate, Adam Jacobs.
It airs on Saturday nights at midnight locally on Channel 23 (Cable 8) and can be found on its YouTube channel.
In addition to Jacobs’ involvement, Perpich music senior Kennedi Lykken is featured as one of the musicians auditioning to get on the program.
When the credits roll, even more Perpich connections appear. Kaleigh Herter (music, ’13) does pre-production for the show and Jordan West (media, ’13) is credited with the main title. Maddie Balintona (music, ’14) is given “special thanks” and the band playing the show’s theme song, “Broken Bones,” is Color Tab, featuring two Perpich music graduates from 2013, Kieran Bowers and Alex Lisell, along with drummer Eli Kapell.
The first episode is already up on the YouTube channel along with plenty of previews and promos. Two more episodes are scheduled for June 27 and July 4. You can find out more on "American Studio's" Facebook page.
