Don't miss it! Events for October/November
Perpich dance and music students, along with instructors Janika Vandervelde, Mary Harding and Tory Peterson will be participating in “Sustainable Acts: Mother Earth’s Embrace,” an exhibition sponsored by the Institute on the Environment at the U of M
The opening is 4-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Institute on the St. Paul campus, 1305 Gortner Ave. Read more here.
It’s all happening Oct. 29-30
Thursday, Oct. 29 is a big night for media, music and video students and their families and teachers. The junior media arts photography exhibition opens, as does the junior visual arts self-portrait exhibition. Both gallery openings are at 5 p.m. In addition, the music students will be opening their fall concert season that evening at 7:30 p.m. They play a matinee performance on Friday, Oct. 30, at 3:30 p.m. and again Friday evening at 7:30 p.m.
Even more happening
The following week on Wednesday, Nov. 4, will be the first literary arts reading of the year, featuring the seniors. It will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Black Box Theater.
It will be the end of the first quarter on Oct. 30 and parent-teacher conferences will be 1-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, as well as noon-5 p.m. the next day, Friday, Nov. 6. This is a chance for families to learn about their students’ progress by signing up for 10-minute conferences with each of their teachers. Sign-up is first come, first served.
Save the date for the junior literary arts reading on Tuesday, Nov. 17, in the Performance Hall. The first theater production of the year will be Wednesday, Nov. 18, through Saturday, Nov. 21, all performances at 7:30 p.m. in the Black Box Theater.
