Perpich visual arts instructor's work receives Award of Excellence

Pat Benincasa, visual arts instructor at Perpich Arts High School, has received an Award of Excellence at Four Points Contemporary's 3rd Biannual Competition for her work ""Stelco, Hamilton Ontario."

Benincasa describes her piece as "part of a series about place as memory and the focus is on these magnificent work sites that for the most part have been demolished or abandoned - but not forgotten."
The Juror was Falavia Cosma, Executive Director at International Writers’ and Artists’ Residency Val David Quebec, Cananda. The 3rd Biannual competition was juried from submissions that were received from approximately 260 entries globally. The competition showcases a wide variety of styles and mediums of more than 50 visual artists from different parts of the world.
