Alumni updates

What would Perpich do without its persevering, persistent and proud Perpichians? They raise money for us, they write letters for us, they provide networks for one another and they truly understand why Canada geese show up in nightmares.

Jenny Zigrino (visual ’05) has been busy making a name for herself out in Hollywood as a writer, producer and actor. She is co-creator of the new television comedy, “The Filling Is Mutual,” on IFC, in which she also stars. Over the holidays, you might have seen her in "Bad Santa 2" with Billy Bob Thornton.
Hatie Parmeter (literary ’09) is working as a senior copywriter in Chicago and has started a new online magazine, Whoa, where she and other writers feature women working and playing in the great outdoors. You can see it here.
Perpich grad Olli Johnson (theater) has received an Artist Initiative Award from the MN State Arts Board.
Dance alumnus Vinny Balbo was recently featured in the new Diesel campaign, "Make Love Not Walls"! Vinny says the ad is "quite relevant with what's going on in the world!" Watch the commercial here.  And you can follow Vinny's work here
Missy Whiteman (visual '95) celebrated the regional premier of her feature film "The Coyote Way: Going Back Home" at the Walker Art Center March 16. The premier was part of the Walker's "INDIgenesis: Indigenous Filmmakers, Past and Present" that Whiteman helped to organize and curate. The series ends this weekend with “Trudell” and “Views from Standing Rock.” Missy was on MPR and featured in City Pages to promote the series.
