Media alumna launches kickstarter for documentary on artist Mark Cline

Emma Mankey Hidem (‘04, media) is currently working on gathering funds for the postproduction of her first feature-length film, “Blue Ridge Barnum,” a documentary on Mark Cline, a Virginia-based artist and entertainer.

Cline specializes in fiberglass sculptures/roadside attractions. The film follows Cline over the course of a year, and details triumphs (such as his first museum exhibition) and tribulations (like losing three of his primary attractions to a fire) that Cline faced over the year. To learn more about the film, see the trailer or to donate to Emma’s project, visit her kickstarter page and follow the film on Facebook. You can also check out the work that Emma is doing on her website.
