Alumnus releases album, kicks off bicycle tour Oct. 10

Perpich alumnus Ben Weaver begins a tour in support of his eighth musical release, I Would Rather Be a Buffalo, Friday, Oct. 10 at the Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis.

The tour, which will take Weaver from Minneapolis to New Orleans, will be done entirely on bike—with Weaver traveling 50-100 miles between each tour stop. Journalist and novelist Jonathan Miles will accompany Weaver on the trek, which will include working with environmental groups on various projects like prairie restoration and river clean ups. Shows will take place in a variety of venues such as farms, bookstores, bike shops and traditional music venues.

To learn more about Weaver’s travels and his new album, check out his website. To get more information or tickets for his show on October 10, go to the Cedar Cultural Center website.
