"Beneath the Surface" features Anishinaabe and Dakota learning

A two-day seminar in April provided 55 Edina High School students with hands-on learning in literature, art, language, ecology and history at Fort Snelling State Park. Other schools are just beginning their residencies. This will all culminate in a four-day summer institute at Fort Snelling State Park in July. Artists leading the sessions are Julie Kastigar Boada, Anishinaabe visual artist, Gwen Westerman, Dakota poet, and Glenn Wasicuna, Dakota linguist. Read more.
