Workshops and Conferences
All-state arts education workshops and conferences are offered for teachers on a variety of topics including training in new arts standards, educational technology and best practices in arts teaching and learning. Customized training also is available. Check our outreach calendar and the news section for upcoming opportunities.
Perpich also sponsors and collaborates with other organizations to bring national presenters to Minnesota as well as offers annual professional development conferences including:
All-State Theater Forum is a periodic statewide conference organized by Perpich in collaboration with the Minnesota Educational Theater Association. The Forum convenes educators, directors and teaching artists throughout Minnesota. Participants attend presentations, productions, discussions and workshop sessions, where they gain new perspectives, tools and resources for teaching and directing theater.
Summer workshops are hosted on the Perpich campus or at one or more of the regional centers, sometimes offered through Perpich and sometimes offered through arts education partners. The workshops offer specialized professional development in arts education strategies. Local and national professional artists and arts educators present new ideas and creative techniques to infuse arts into the curriculum.
“The workshop helped to morph my classroom into a space where students were more engaged, respected and included in the learning process.”
— Albert Lea Senior High School English and Journalism teacher
