K-12 Academic Standards
Perpich team members have expertise with Minnesota K-12 Academic Standards in all arts areas as well as interdisciplinary arts education. We can be instrumental in helping teachers implement the academic standards. If you have questions regarding the standards please contact Perpich Arts Outreach services.

The current standards went into effect beginning with the 2010–2011 school year for all Minnesota students, kindergarten through 12th grade. The standards were developed by teachers, administrators and community members over two years with collaborative leadership by the Perpich Center for Arts Education and the Minnesota Department of Education. See the links to the left for more information.
The national standards outline what every K-12 student should know and be able to do in the arts. The standards were developed by the Consortium of National Arts Education Associations, through a grant administered by The National Association for Music Education (NAfME). The new national arts education standards were released in June, 2014.
