DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION HERE \nDESCRIPTION:\nThis day is a unique opportunity to inform your teaching practice through peer observation and introduction to the new Minnesota standards in Music. To accomplish this\, \n\nWe will observe in Scott Rabehl and Mike Knutson’s band rehearsals. This is a time to note rehearsal strategies\, teaching resources\, and to pay special attention to the high level musical decisions students are making through focused listening and targeted questions. Think about “Ah-ha!” and “I wonder…”\nFollowing the rehearsals\, Wendy Barden will facilitate a discussion of our observations and how they connect with the new Minnesota standards in Music.\n\nTake away new ideas and strategies for your own teaching\, plus a better understanding of new Music standards. \nDETAILS:\nThe day is hosted by Dr. Wendy Barden\, Music Education Specialist in Professional Development & Resource Programs at Perpich Center for Arts Education. There is no cost to participate. A certificate for 6 clock hours will be distributed at the end of the day.\nNote: The maximum number of participants is 15. Registration will close when we reach that number.
