DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION HERE \nDATE AND TIME:\nWednesday\, October 19\, 2022 (8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.)\n8:30 a.m. – Plan to arrive\n9:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. – Observe Adam Tervola Hultberg’s general music classes in grades K-2\, paying close attention to classroom routines and community\n11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – We’ll place a group order for lunch from a local coffee shop (we each pay for our own)\, but you are also welcome to bring your own lunch\n12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Professional development including a discussion of our observations \nDESCRIPTION:\nThis day is a unique opportunity to a) inform your teaching practice through peer observation and discussion and b) form stronger connections with music teachers nearby. To accomplish this\, \n\nWe will observe Adam Tervola Hultberg teach six general music classes in grades K through 2. Pay particular attention to their classroom routines and community. Think about “Ah-ha!” and “I wonder…”\nFollowing the classes\, we’ll enjoy lunch together. Wendy Barden will facilitate a discussion of our observations and other topics of interest to participants.\nWe will provide up-to-date COVID-19 protocols closer to October 19.\n\nTake away new ideas and strategies for your own teaching! \nDETAILS:\nThe day is hosted by Dr. Wendy Barden\, Director of Professional Development & Resource Programs at Perpich Center for Arts Education. There is no cost to participate. A certificate for 6 clock hours will be distributed at the end of the day. \nNote: The maximum number of participants is 9. Registration will close when we reach that number.
