DESCRIPTION:Join other arts educators this winter in one-hour sessions that focus on topics required for renewal of Tier 3 and Tier 4 teaching licenses in Minnesota. Questions? Email PDR Director Wendy Barden at wendy.barden@pcae.k12.mn.us. \nDATE and TIMES: Tuesday\, January 17\, 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A Zoom link will be provided prior to the seminar. Sessions will not be recorded for later viewing. \nDESCRIPTION: This session will help you in creating an inclusive arts classroom for multilingual learners of varying backgrounds\, skills\, and language proficiencies. We will contextualize English learners as they are presented in policy and research\, discover strategies and methods to foster an inclusive program\, and share ideas on how to facilitate students in fully embracing arts education while recognizing their diverse experiences and histories. \nDETAILS: \n\nAttend either 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The content is the same for both sessions so plan to attend only one.\nThere is no cost for this seminar and 1 CEU is earned.\nThis session addresses English Learners\, one of the Minnesota relicensure topics.\nThe session is presented by Abbey Leier-Murphy and Ethan Murphy.
