SUMMARY:“SENSE OF PLACE” DANCE CONCERT
DESCRIPTION:RESERVE FREE TICKETS HERE \nFrom all corners of the state\, the dancers of the Perpich Arts High School Dance Program are happy to present “Sense of Place”. The fall concert is the culmination of a semester of work. The dancers will demonstrate their creativity\, choreographic skills\, and performance expertise in 22 student choreographed works\, and one guest work. The works range in style\, musical choice\, and intention. The title\, ”Sense of Place”\, refers to both the nine hometowns of the dancers and the sense of place the dancers find in the dance studio. The dancers have created work that illuminates many places in their lives. The dances range from haunting to harsh\, from dynamic to fluid\, from formal to fun. \nSense of Place\nAt home in our space and in ourselves\n \nChoreography by the students and guest artist: Darrius Strong \n\nNine dancers from all corners of the state\nTwenty-two student choreographed dances\nOne guest artist\nA million ideas of inspiration\nOne community\nTwo priceless evenings\n\nFree to all. \nThe show runs 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with an intermission. \nNo photography or videotaping is allowed during the performance. Video of the show will be made available to families of the dancers. \nHope you are able to join us!
