DESCRIPTION:Perpich is excited to offer a series of five (5) summer Professional Development sessions for music teachers\, in-person\, at Perpich Center for Arts Education in August\, 2025. Each workshop will be filled with teaching resources\, strategies\, and experiences you can use in your teaching this fall. Come to one or all five! Separate registration is required for each workshop. \nWednesday\, August 6 – Serious Fun! \nDATE: Wednesday\, August 6\, 2025 \nTIME: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.\, plus optional off-campus lunch \nREGISTRATION HERE \nLOCATION (in-person):\nPerpich Center for Arts Education\nGaia Building – Glass Box\n6125 Olson Memorial Hwy\, Golden Valley\, MN 55422\n*Gaia is the white building label 6105 on the east side of Perpich campus by the soccer fields \nDESCRIPTION: Learn a multi-tiered method to onboard new or struggling musicians into the world of music literacy through iconic notation. Originally designed for guitar students with special needs\, this method has augmented its strategies to incorporate music learners of all ages and abilities playing almost any string instrument. Bring an instrument of your choice. Intended audience is music educators of students in grades K-12. Guest presenter is Ruth LeMay\, Minneapolis. \nDETAILS: \n\nEach workshop will take place 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.\nThere is no cost to participate but a separate registration is required for each day.\nWater and snacks will be provided.\nAn optional networking lunch will follow each workshop. The cost of lunch is on your own.\nFour clock hours will be earned each day (+ 1 additional clock hour when attending the networking lunch).\n\nQuestions?
