SUMMARY:STUDIO ARTS (MEDIA ARTS AND VISUALS ARTS) JUNIOR EXHIBITION "MAYBE THE ART (SHOW) WAS THE FRIENDS WE MADE ALONG THE WAY"
DESCRIPTION:RESERVE YOUR FREE TICKETS HERE \nMaybe the Art (Show) was the Friends We Made Along the Way \nPerpich Arts High School Studio Arts Department presents: Junior Curriculum Exhibition “Maybe the Art (Show) was the Friends We Made Along the Way” \nThe exhibition includes artwork created in Perpich art classes during Quarters 3 and 4 by members of the Class of 2026 and features animation\, video art\, drawings\, paintings\, darkroom-based analog & digital photography\, prints\, sculpture\, and digital art. The students selected one piece of artwork that they were proud of or they felt represented them well to be displayed for the exhibition. \nA media screening is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in the Performance Hall. The show will include work from Media Arts and Visual Arts students. \nExhibition Opening\nThursday\, May 8th\n5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.\nPerpich Arts High School\n \nCurrently on display in the Basta Gallery:\nPerpich Behind the Scenes\nThis exhibition is a result of a month-long project in which each Media Arts student was paired with a willing Perpich staff member to create a series of photographs using 35mm cameras. Students interviewed their subject to get to know more about them and what they do\, at Perpich and beyond. The photographs give us a glimpse inside the world of the subjects and also reflect the style of each student artist.

SUMMARY:MUSICAL THEATER ENSEMBLE PRESENTS "POP UP MUSICAL"
DESCRIPTION:TICKET RESERVATION LINK \nPop Up Musical\n \nIn the style of VH1’s Pop-Up Video series (and perhaps even a bit of Mystery Science Theater 3000)\, the members of Company present an energetic variety show of Broadway musical hits\, interspersed with informative “pop ups” throughout each number. The concept for this show was first conceived for the Fringe Festival in 2012 by four long-time theater friends: Jennifer Eckes\, Judi Gronseth\, Kevin Werner Hohlstein\, and Timm Holmly. The group toured the show in Minnesota and Wisconsin\, delighting audiences in several communities. This production is the Perpich Arts High School take on the original concept.

DESCRIPTION:RESERVE FREE TICKETS HERE \nRecommended for ages 12 and older. \nSenior Capstone 2025 \nSenior Capstone is a quarter long\, process-driven project required for graduation by the Perpich Theater Program. Projects may be connected to creative collaborative production and may take the form of\, but are not limited to: a research paper\, creation of an original work – play\, movement\, cabaret\, costume\, set design\, voice over\, sound score\, etc. This serves as the “capstone” Perpich experience\, bringing together two years of coursework and productions in theater arts and musical theater\, and preparing students for life and work after departing Perpich Arts High School. Instructors Tory Peterson and Kevin Hohlstein serve as resources in the planning stages\, advise on the progress of the project\, and evaluate its effectiveness and quality. \nEach Senior is allotted 10 minutes to use however they choose to develop their Capstone Project. When working with other Seniors\, their time can be pooled together to showcase work. Juniors are cast as needed in certain Capstones. Each Senior is given a Community Mentor\, a professional in the field that supports Senior Capstone work\, from theater directors\, performers\, costume design\, voice talent\, and animators. \nThe evening will be made up of four solo performances and two short plays. \nPerformances consist of: \n\nCharli Pedersen – an epistolary performance based on their great grandfather’s letters.\nGreta “Gerwig” Kunene – a solo performance in the thematic styling of Roger Guenveur Smith\nIan Garrido-Lavendar – a movement/clowning/commedia piece\nMiryam Donsker – a “spoof” written with a song and characters from “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”\nWarren Mulholland Coler (Directing) & Olivia Solinger (Acting) – along with four Juniors will produce “Duet for Dog and Bear” by playwright Sybil Rosen\nTory Peterson\, along with three Juniors\, will produce an immersive scene from Tina Howe’s play “Museum” in the Perpich Visual Arts gallery\n\nAnthony Sisler-Neuman (Theater 2000) is the professional theater mentor for all 2025 Theater Seniors. Anthony is cofounder for Graceful Monsters Educational Theatre Collective\, a process-driven educational theatre in Minneapolis\, MN that fosters a safe space for young artists to create\, learn\, and be empowered to explore their own stories. He grew up as a theater kid in the Twin Cities\, working at most of the local youth companies. He went on to study theater at Perpich Arts High School where he learned the love for verbatim theater and shifted gears to playwriting at Columbia College Chicago. Anthony has been directing and educating youth since 2012\, while continuing to work as a theater professional. His lifelong dream of having an educational theatre collective has finally come true\, alongside his wife\, which is truly the only way it could have happened. He is an avid believer that theater changes lives and continues to be inspired by the young artists he works with every day.
