DESCRIPTION:Perpich Arts High School Studio Arts Department Presents: Junior Curriculum Exhibition “2-For-1 Combo” \nRESERVE TICKETS HERE \n“2 for 1 combo\, limited time only! We here at Perpich use all the freshest ingredients and pour our hearts into the pieces we create to make sure that they are the best in the business. To celebrate the end of the school year\, our juniors have been working hard to give you a limited time offer: two pieces for the price of one\, served up to you on a bittersweet plate as we bid goodbye to school and hello to summer!” \nThe exhibition includes artwork created in Perpich art classes this year by members of the Class of 2024 and features animation\, video art\, drawings\, paintings\, darkroom-based analog & digital photography\, prints\, sculpture\, and digital art. The students selected two pieces of artwork that they were proud of or they felt represented them well to be displayed for the exhibition. \nA media screening is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in the Performance Hall. \nWhile you’re on campus\, be sure to visit the Basta Gallery for the Color + Light exhibition. For this studio-based photography class in the Media Arts program at Perpich Arts High School\, students are provided with digital SLR cameras and given access to the Media Arts photo studio. Over the course of the 3rd academic quarter\, photographers study the fundamental relationship between color\, quality of light\, and mood. Emphasis is placed on producing technically proficient and creative photographs through lighting\, color filtration\, and post-production of images. Technical\, aesthetic\, and conceptual aspects of working with color and light are explored in depth. Color + Light is showing in the Basta Gallery from March\, 2023 through November\, 2023.

DESCRIPTION:RESERVE TICKETS HERE \nPerpich Arts High School Dance Program is happy to present “Threshold”. The spring concert is the culmination of a semester of work. The dancers will demonstrate their creativity\, choreographic skills\, and performance expertise in 22 student choreographed works\, and two guest works. The works range in style\, musical choice\, and intention. The title\, ”Threshold”\, refers to a point of departure\, a transition. The dancers have created work that illuminates this stage of their lives. The dances range from haunting to harsh\, from dynamic to fluid\, from formal to fun. \nThreshold: “a point of departure\, a transition” \n“Threshold” \nChoreography by the students and guest artists: Davente Gilreath (Dance 2010) and Penelope Freeh \n\nEight dancers from eight Minnesota communities\nTwenty-two student choreographed dances\nTwo guest artists\nA million ideas of inspiration\nOne community\nTwo priceless evenings\n\nThe show runs 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with an intermission. \nNo photography or videotaping is allowed during the performance. Video of the show will be made available to families of the dancers.
