SUMMARY:COMPREHENSIVE ARTS PLANNING PROGRAM (CAPP) - APPLICATION INFORMATIONAL SESSION
DESCRIPTION:Perpich Center for Arts Education is hosting three informational sessions to provide information and answer questions about the upcoming 2023 – 2025 Comprehensive Arts Planning Program (CAPP) application round. These sessions will provide a general outline of the program and application process as well as leave ample time for participant Q&A. (Please attend only one session.) \nREGISTER HERE FOR THE INFORMATIONAL SESSION \nLOCATION: Virtual – The link to join each session will be sent to participants via email on the day of the meeting. \nPlease note: Due to the regulations of the CAPP application process\, questions about the application cannot be answered after the official application opens on Tuesday\, December 6\, 2022. After December 6\, 2022\, questions will be answered through a FAQ system. Therefore we highly encourage school districts to attend one of these sessions if they are interested in applying. \nQuestions or comments? To accomplish this\, \n\nWe will observe Jessica Chipman teach two Intro to Theatre Arts classes for high school students. Pay particular attention to their classroom routines\, rituals\, and community building. Think about your “Ah-ha!” and “I wonder…” moments.\nFollowing the classes\, we’ll enjoy lunch together. Stephanie Lein Walseth will facilitate a discussion of our observations and other topics of interest to participants.\nWe will provide up-to-date COVID-19 protocols closer to December 1st.\nTake away new ideas and strategies for your own teaching!\n\nDETAILS:\nThe day is hosted by Dr. Stephanie Lein Walseth\, Theater Education Specialist of Professional Development & Resource Programs at Perpich Center for Arts Education. There is no cost to participate. A certificate for 6 clock hours will be distributed at the end of the day. \nNote: The maximum number of participants is 9.
