SUMMARY:STUDIO ARTS (MEDIA ARTS AND VISUALS ARTS) JUNIOR EXHIBITION "EMERGING"
DESCRIPTION:Perpich Arts High School Studio Arts Department Presents: Junior Curriculum Exhibition “Emerging” \nThe exhibition includes artwork created in Perpich art classes during Quarters 3 and 4 by members of the Class of 2025 and features animation\, video art\, drawings\, paintings\, darkroom-based analog & digital photography\, prints\, sculpture\, and digital art. The students selected two pieces of artwork that they were proud of or they felt represented them well to be displayed for the exhibition. \nA media screening is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the Performance Hall. The show will include work from Media and Visual students. \nWhile you’re on campus\, be sure to visit the Basta Gallery for “The Portrait” exhibition. The still images will be shown on screen in the Performance Hall during the Media Screening and will be displayed as framed\, printed photographs in the Basta Gallery until next Fall. For this studio-based photography class in the Media Arts program at Perpich Arts High School\, students are provided with digital SLR cameras and given access to the Media Arts photo studio. Over the course of the 3rd academic quarter\, photographers study the fundamental relationship between photographer\, subject\, and environment. Emphasis is placed on producing technically proficient and creative photographs through professional lighting\, backgrounds\, hair & makeup\, props\, and wardrobe styling. Technical\, aesthetic\, and conceptual aspects of photographic portraiture are explored in depth. \nExhibition Opening\nThursday\, May 9th\n5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.\nPerpich Arts High School\nFREE EVENT – NO RESERVATION NEEDED
