DESCRIPTION:Perpich Arts High School Theater Department is happy to present “Queen Bull” \nTICKET RESERVATION LINK \nA middle school phenomenon that exalts cliques & affluence above the individual and headed by a Queen Bee or Mastermind with use of relational aggression\, economic affluence\, social regimentation\, and forcible suppression of opposition. \nUsing middle school interviews\, found elements on Quora\, text and study of Eugene Ionesco’s play “Rhinoceros”\, along with the tween/teen archetypes defined in psychologist Rosalind Wiseman’s book “Queen Bee and Wannabes”\, Perpich theater students have devised a verbatim play about the ongoing difficulties of responding to the middle school world where bullies seem to reign. The play was developed for a public audience and a tour shared with middle school students who were part of the interview process used in its development. These vignettes are funny\, hard\, difficult\, and heartwarming as we hold the mirror up to the children who live this world daily. \nSpecial thanks to Franklin Middle School\, Anwatin Middle School\, and Chaska West Middle School for their participation.

DESCRIPTION:Perpich Arts High School Studio Arts Department presents two exhibitions: “DVD Curriculum Exhibition” and “Beyond The Classroom Exhibition” \nThe curriculum exhibition is showing in the Upper Gallery through February 24\, 2023. It features artwork by every studio arts student at Perpich during their 2nd quarter. The artwork was made for classroom assignments and showcases the range within the Perpich studio arts curriculum. Students selected their favorite piece from one of their two arts classes. Works include prints\, sculptures\, photography\, cinematography\, animation\, drawings\, paintings\, etc. Works are featured on the gallery walls as well as in a screening of cinema and animation work in the Performance Hall on the first level during the gallery opening. \n“Beyond The Classroom Exhibition” features artwork from students produced on their own time\, outside the classroom. It offers viewers a glimpse into the young artists’ personal interests. The exhibition is showing in the Lower Gallery through February 24\, 2023. \nRESERVE FREE TICKETS HERE

We encourage you to register for both days if possible\, to take advantage of this time to work with Nya and Selene. However\, if your schedule will only allow you to join us for one day\, you are still more than welcome.
