One-day workshop for arts educators on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Perpich Center for Arts Education – 6125 Olson Memorial Highway, Golden Valley
DATE and TIME: Tuesday, August 13, 2024 (8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
Conference check-in will open at 8:00 a.m. and the plenary session will begin at 9:00 a.m.

DESCRIPTION: This conference, intended for K-12 arts educators, is centered on anchor standard 10 of the Minnesota K-12 Arts Standards. The day will include personal learning, examples of lessons developed by K-12 arts educators, and time to develop your own lesson ideas with others. Guest speakers for plenary sessions are Darlene St. Clair (Lower Sioux Community) and Jamie Edwards (Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe).
All participants will be part of an arts-specific cohort in the afternoon—dance, music, theater, and visual arts—and need to register using the appropriate link below.

- This conference is intended for K-12 arts educators who are currently teaching.
- Seating is limited and a waitlist will be started once spaces fill. If your plans change and you are no longer able to attend, please cancel by August 1 so someone from the waitlist may have an opportunity to attend.
- There is no cost to participate in this conference. Lunch is provided.
- A total of 7 clock hours are available for this experience—6 hours for the conference + 1 hour for pre-conference reading.
- This workshop is facilitated by the Perpich Center for Arts Education Professional Development & Resource Programs staff.
