Just out fall, 2017, What to Look For in the Arts will help Minnesota arts teachers as they work with peers and administrators in the evaluation and professional development process in their district.
What to Look for in the Arts are formatted as fillable forms so that teachers, coaches, and administrators can utilize and save as they work together with arts teachers.
K-12 Minnesota Arts Standards as well as links to the National Arts Standards. Standards are broken down into the art area standards in dance, music, visual arts, media arts, and theater.
Resources include curriculum planning materials to guide the integration of arts and other content areas with a focus on making connections across standards and aligning learning goals and assessments. Other resources include protocols for responding to art, tools for looking at student work, and authentic process charts for different disciplines.
Artful Teaching and Learning Handbook is full of lots of tools and resources for building arts based and arts infused learning.
Dance Education Initiative Curriculum Guide is a valuable resource for k-16 dance educators and teaching artists.
Engaging Students in the Arts is a resource that focuses on the large processes of create, perform, and respond.
