November 21, 2025

Perpich Center for Arts Education was proud to sponsor Dr. Tasha Golden, the keynote speaker on November 15, 2025 at the state conference of the American Choral Directors Association-MN (ACDA-MN) chapter. This annual conference takes place in Mahtomedi, MN and is attended by hundreds of choral educators and directors from across the state.

Dr. Golden’s address, “Conducting Wellbeing: Reimagining Your Role in Health, Connection, and Community Impact”, outlined frameworks and resources for exploring the connections between the creative work of musical artists and wellbeing.

Dr. Tasha Golden, a leading expert in creativity’s role in wellbeing and innovation, was the Perpich-sponsored keynote speaker at the November 2025 American Choral Directors Association-MN conference.

She shared, “Accepting that health is more than the absence of disease allows us to consider the intersection of our work as artists to promote wellbeing, create connection, and build community.”

Tasha Golden is a singer/songwriter turned behavioral scientist, and a leading expert in creativity’s role in wellbeing and innovation.

Following her presentation, Dr. Michael Buck, Music Education Specialist at Perpich Center, remarked, “Dr. Golden shared an understanding about music-making that many musicians know anecdotally—engaging in this activity is a source of health and wellbeing. Her work as a musician and scientist provides data supporting the connection between the two.”

Perpich Center is honored to partner with Minnesota arts education organizations, such as the American Choral Directors Association-Minnesota. We are all working to support arts educators and students statewide.
