2020 Minnesota Dance Summit
The 2020 Minnesota Dance Summit is February 1, 2020.
Hosted by Perpich Center for Arts Education in collaboration with Dance Educator’s Coalition of Minnesota.
This year’s summit will begin with a keynote speaker and feature multiple sessions that include technique classes, movement sessions, research presentations, and panel discussions. This year’s theme is Affirm, Discover, and Connect.
AFFIRM your own teaching practice. Share your ideas from your experience. How do you teach to the faces in front of you while keeping present the standards, your own dance life, and your experiences
DISCOVER new possibilities. Learn new approaches and strategies. Check your own lens.
CONNECT with allies and colleagues from across the state. Celebrate why dance education is integral to quality education. Rediscover your passion to allow each child’s voice to soar in your classroom.
The 2020 Minnesota Dance Summit features concurrent tracks of technique classes, workshop sessions, and panels. Registration is limited so register early.

Registration must be received by January 17, 2020.
The summit will have limited space so get registered early.

Submit a Proposal
We welcome all to submit a proposal. We are looking for movement experiences in all genres as well as curriculum ideas, research, and panel discussions. Previous conference sessions have been “Counter-Storytelling in Concert Dance History”, “Afro-Caribbean and Diaspora Dance”, and “Explicitly Teaching Collaboration.” Please submit proposals by December 15, 2019.
