Perpich News
A note from Dr. Charles Rick, Perpich Executive Director – March 20, 2020
March 20, 2020
Perpich Center for Arts Education is open for business and continues providing arts education services to Minnesotans across the state.
We are committed to providing a safe environment for both the people we serve and our employees. Following guidance from Governor Walz and the Minnesota Department of Health, we are taking aggressive steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including through social distancing strategies.
Perpich Center services remain available and we are striving to operate in our usual manner as much possible. We have transitioned some staff to working remotely but all staff have the tools to provide service by telephone or email. You can expect a response within 24 hours during normal business hours.
We highly encourage you to call in to receive services, rather than coming in to get services in person. You can reach us by calling 763-279-4200 or by emailing communications@pcae.k12.mn.us.
At this time, our:
- Arts High School is providing distance learning to our juniors and seniors;
- Professional Development and Resource Programs is supporting arts educators across the state; and
- Arts Library is closed to the public but the librarian is still available for reference assistance.
We will continue to keep you updated during this challenging time and you can find the latest news at https://perpich.mn.gov/news.
Thank you for your patience as we make these adjustments.
Sincerely,
Dr. Charles Rick
Interim Executive Director
