Craig Farmer has been teaching art history at the high school level since 1992. He started his teaching career at the Field School of Washington, DC. From the summer of 2008 through 2019 he was an adjunct instructor in The University of Minnesota’s Curriculum and Instruction Department. Since 2018 Craig has been teaching art history classes for MCAD’s pre-college summer program. For the summer of 2022 he received an Education Minnesota Foundation grant to study the art of Winslow Homer from Maine to New York City. Craig holds a B.A. in art history and history from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an M.A. in teaching from the University of St. Thomas. He was the graduation speaker for the Arts High School classes of 2002, 2011, and 2015.
