
Dr. Becky Melville
Dr. Becky Melville is an experienced school leader committed to creating environments where every student has the opportunity to thrive and pursue their dreams. She currently serves as Principal of Falcon Ridge Middle School in Apple Valley, Minnesota, where she leads with a focus on academic excellence, building a supportive community, and ensuring meaningful learning experiences in academics and the arts. With more than 15 years in educational leadership – including previous principal and district-level roles – Dr. Melville has a strong track record of guiding school transformation, developing staff capacity, strategic planning, and aligning systems to support all learners.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies Education from Hamline University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Minnesota, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from St. Mary’s University.
Dr. Melville enjoys spending her time at her family cabin reading historical fiction and going on walks with her two dogs. She is exceptionally proud of her family. Her daughter, Emily, is currently studying Zoology at Northern Michigan University and her husband, Jeff, and son, Evan, work together as professional firefighter/paramedics for the city of Burnsville.
