2026-2027 MEDIA ARTS ADVANCED COHORT

April 22, 2027 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Deepen and refine your media arts practice. Register for Perpich’s Media Arts Advanced Cohort!

*This cohort is for educators who have completed Perpich’s Media Arts Intro Cohort and are ready to take their practice further.*

About the Cohort
The Media Arts Advanced Cohort is for educators who have completed Perpich’s Media Arts Introduction Cohort and are ready to push their creative, technical, and pedagogical boundaries. Similar to the Intro Cohort, this is a year-long professional learning community where participants operate as artists, critics, and curriculum designers—expanding their media fluency while developing the intellectual rigor to mentor students in creating media that matters.

The Advanced Cohort moves beyond the foundations of media arts education and into deeper questions of curriculum, pedagogy, conceptual thinking, creative agency, and assessment.

How do we design more conceptually rich media arts learning? How do we move students from following directions toward making meaningful creative decisions? How do we assess artistic thinking and conceptual understanding?

Participants refine existing curriculum, analyze student work and practice, explore more sophisticated approaches to concept-based instruction and assessment, and collaborate with experienced colleagues.

This is a space to experiment, problem-solve, and engage in meaningful dialogue with colleagues who are equally committed to evolving their media arts practice.
