TARGET AUDIENCE: Minnesota Elementary and Middle School Theater Educators and Directors
DETAILS:
Teaching and directing theater at the elementary and middle school levels can be especially challenging for many reasons! You all are one of the smallest subsets of arts educators, and often other professional development workshops are geared more towards folks working at the high school level. Let’s spend half a day together and share your challenges, questions, strategies, ideas, and resources for teaching elementary and middle school theater! This session will build on the knowledge and resources shared and built at last summer’s roundtable, and you’re welcome to join whether you are returning or new to this circle!
This day is FOR you and will be largely shaped BY you! It is about sharing and connecting with one another, and building on the collective wisdom in the room. As such, in the registration form, please be sure to include the topics, questions, and challenges you’d like to tackle, and note the theater game/exercise and resource(s) you like to share! Then I’ll work to synthesize this info to structure the day and the conversations accordingly!
Lunch will be included!
