February 18 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
FreeDATE AND TIME: Tuesday, February 18, 2025 (4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.) – virtual session
DESCRIPTION: Are you looking for resources to bring Minnesota Native American arts and culture into your curriculum? We can help you get started! In this hour, learn from several Anishinaabe authors and artists/illustrators and become acquainted with their work. We’ll also consider connections that can be made to your standards-related curriculum and how you can select authentic and appropriate resources. Recommended book lists will be shared.
In this session, excerpts from interviews with each author and artist/illustrator are taken from the Perpich Center’s Native Authors and Artists Series. Full interviews and resources are available at https://perpich.mn.gov/professional-development/arts-education-resources/native-authors-artists/
