[NEW] MINNESOTA K-12 ACADEMIC STANDARDS IN MUSIC

The Minnesota legislature has set implementation of the new Arts standards for the 2023-2024 school year. This virtual session will give you a brief, yet thorough overview of the MN K-12 Academic Standards in Music.
In this virtual session, specific for K-12 music educators, we will unpack the MN K-12 Academic Standards in Music in a way that is easy to comprehend and use. Topics will include:
- Changes that occurred as part of the 2018 revisions
- A brief history of the standards movement and how MN standards connect to the National Core Art Standards
- The music standards and benchmarks structure
- Identifying key components of the model – foundations, create, perform/present, respond and connect.
Join us as we share ideas to implement the standards!
