PERPICH 2023 RELICENSURE SERIES – ADAPT, MODIFY, AND ACCOMMODATE IN ARTS CLASSES

DATE and TIMES: Tuesday, February 7, 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A Zoom link will be provided prior to the seminar. Sessions will not be recorded for later viewing.
DESCRIPTION: One of the required components under Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies is “evidencing accommodating, modifying, and adapting curricula, materials, and strategies to appropriately meet the needs of individual students.” Join our experienced panel of arts educators and take away ideas to better meet the needs of all students in your classroom.
DETAILS:
- Attend either 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The content is the same for both sessions so plan to attend only one.
- There is no cost for this seminar and 1 CEU is earned.
- This session addresses Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies, one of the Minnesota relicensure topics.
- Our panel of presenters includes Alicia Peters, Sarah Wojciechowski-Prill, and Caroline Becker. Alicia is an instructor at College of Saint Benedict-Saint John’s University, specializing in art education. Sarah teaches drama classes at Lionsgate Academy, a secondary charter school inclusively designed to address the unique learning needs of students living on the autism spectrum as well as students with other learning differences. Caroline is a former music educator, and currently Autism Spectrum Disorder consultant with Twin Cities Education Consultants. She is also licensed in emotional behavioral disorders.
