PERPICH 2023 RELICENSURE SERIES – SUPPORTING TEXT READING IN ARTS CLASSES

DATE and TIMES: Tuesday, January 24, 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A Zoom link will be provided prior to the seminar. Sessions will not be recorded for later viewing.

DESCRIPTION: Included will be topics such as practice in phonemic awareness and phonics; vocabulary –fluency–comprehension; and instruction that fosters understanding and higher-order thinking.

DETAILS:

• Attend either 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The content is the same for both sessions so plan to attend only one.
• There is no cost for this seminar and 1 CEU is earned.
• This session addresses Reading Preparation, one of the Minnesota relicensure topics.
• The session is presented by Wendy Barden. She will weave four decades of experience in music education with the expertise of reading teacher Morgan Abboud to bring practical and important ideas for your teaching.
