POTENTIAL CHANGES TO MN ARTS TEACHER LICENSING: DANCE AND THEATER – PUBLIC INFO SESSIONS

Perpich Center for Arts Education would like to invite you to a meeting about dance and theater teacher licensing. Perpich Center, MDE, and PELSB are preparing for future rulemaking regarding the teaching licensure standards in the arts—dance, media arts, music, theater, and visual arts. Reviewing these requirements for adequate reflection of the evolving needs of K-12 students, schools, and communities is an important undertaking. This process presents a great opportunity for input from the field, and the results of this process will have an impact on the future of arts education in our state. Moving forward, your input and involvement are crucial to ensure a successful outcome.
There are two info sessions available for dance and theater:
- Tuesday, September 23 from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., or
- Wednesday, October 1 from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

- What: We will share the steering committee recommendations and opportunities for participation and feedback. We will explain the steps taken so far and outline the next courses of action.
