TECTONIC THEATER PROJECT’S – MAKING INDIVIDUAL MOMENTS ON CAMERA

REGISTRATION HERE

Virtual Theater Educator Intensive Workshops – Beginning and Intermediate Levels
and a Q&A Forum with Teaching Artist Grant Varjas
Presented by Perpich Center for Arts Education

DESCRIPTION:
Theater Educators and Directors (both K-12 and College/University) are invited to join us for these virtual 4-hour intensive workshops with Grant Varjas, a senior teaching artist from the internationally renowned Tectonic Theater Project. The workshops – one beginning level and one intermediate level – will train educators in the company’s original theater devising methodology known as “Moment Work™.”

This year’s virtual offerings will focus on how to explore the poetry of a scene on camera! In these workshops, you’ll use the principles of Moment Work™ to craft rich moments of storytelling for the screen, using gesture, prop, costume, sound, lighting, architecture, and camera placement.

You must have access to a phone camera or a computer camera. Simple editing software is a plus.
