A solo exhibition of artwork by Jeremy Lundquist, Visual Arts Instructor, opened on September 27th in Hamline University’s Soeffker Gallery. The exhibition, Alarm Cease Repair Repeat, will run through November 15, 2024.

“I am thrilled to be able to exhibit this range of work at Hamline, including works from 5 to 10 years ago paired with a lot of work that I made more recently, including this year,” said Lundquist. “It has been great to have the support of the Perpich community as I continue my artistic practice, in addition to teaching, and it was fantastic to see many Perpich faculty, students, and alums at the opening reception.”

According to the Soeffker Gallery website, included in the exhibition is “a new series, Repair Repair, that includes a wide variety of print techniques, including lithography, linocut, screenprint, collagraph, and etching. The series is a direct response to Lundquist’s series of fairly uniform etchings from 2021 titled, Alarm Alarm. While Alarm Alarm rather stoically responds to the alarms sounding all around us both domestically and abroad, Repair Repair asks viewers to consider what can be done to heal communities and attempt to end conflict.”

Hamline’s Soeffker Gallery houses an impressive permanent collection and has hosted a number of prestigious touring exhibits.
