Libby Tonn (Visual Arts 2021) Receives Rotary Scholarship

Congratulations to Elisabeth “Libby” Tonn (Visual Arts 2021) on receiving the Golden Valley Rotary Club’s $1,000 Scholarship! Libby graduated with honors from Perpich Arts High School on May 28, 2021. She will study Biology at Loyola University Chicago in the fall.

“I feel incredibly lucky to have been chosen to receive this scholarship,” said Libby. “It means a lot to me that people in the Perpich community and surrounding area have faith in me and want to contribute to my success in higher education.”

The scholarship is given to a student that exemplifies service above self, the motto that 1.2 million members of Rotary International embrace. The Golden Valley Rotary Club was founded in 1973 and the members are dedicated to the youth and environment of Golden Valley.

Principal Conn McCartan said, “Given her academic prowess and on-going commitment to service, Libby was a natural choice for this scholarship.”

Tonn is originally from Springfield, Minnesota and previously attended Springfield Public High School.
