Dr. Pam Paulson was appointed to the National Steering Committee of the State Education Policy Network (SEPN), sponsored by Americans for the Arts. SEPN is an outgrowth of the State Policy Pilot Project (SP3). Perpich Center participated in SP3 and produced a state resource/tool for arts teacher evaluation. SEPN convened in Washington DC on March 3 with a focus on STEAM education. SEPN is made up of state-level arts education professionals primarily from State Departments of Education, State Arts Agencies, and statewide advocacy organizations, including the state affiliates of national arts education service organizations. These organizations benefit from being connected and jointly pursue policy development and implementation with a shared goal of increasing access to high quality arts education throughout their state.
