Perpich Arts High School Literary Arts Students Present Lit Reading “Spring Reading”

March 16, 2023

The Literary Arts Department of Perpich Arts High School presented their spring reading on March 15, 2023 before a live and virtual audience. “Spring Reading” featured work by each student in the Literary Arts program. They shared new and “in progress” works generated with help from their February guest artist: poet, activist, and hip hop artist, Kyle Tran Myhre.

Mia Tamez (Literary Arts 2023) said, “The energy from everyone in the room was amazing! Not only were the pieces beautiful, but the support from the audience made the atmosphere all the better. Thank you to everyone in the audience who showed love for our Lit Program!!”

Kevin Lally, Literary Arts Instructor, said, “Despite having heard all of these before, I felt myself moved during several pieces. For all the difficulty in the world and in our lives, I found the reading to be refreshing and cathartic. I felt heard and seen by the range of expression.”

Congratulations to all involved with “Spring Reading”!
