Perpich Arts High School Literary Arts Students Present their Winter Lit Reading
November 11, 2021
Literary Arts students presented their winter lit reading on November 10, 2021. They shared a little bit of everything they’ve written this fall: memoir, poetry, fiction, gallows humor. The evening showed that yes, winter looms and the geese are heading south, but Lit students will bloom in perpetuity!
Shannon Hannigan, Literary Arts Instructor, said, “The pandemic has kept the Perpich Lit students largely off-stage for almost two years, but on Wednesday, November 10, they showed an appreciative audience what they are made of. They read tender, intriguing work with grace and also provided context for each piece. It was a great night!”
Li Moore (Literary Arts 2023) said, “We all worked really hard up until the reading started and it went really well! It was fun workshopping with each other and hearing everyone’s best works. Everybody did a great job!”
Bryn Croyle Johnson (Literary Arts 2022) said, “Having a live audience to laugh at my classmate’s jokes was the most exciting thing in the world. I’m so glad we got to have an open reading this year!”
Congratulations to all the artists and to their instructor for a great event!
