Studio Arts Celebrates the 2025 Minnesota Regional Scholastic Art Awards

January 30, 2025

Perpich Studio Arts (Visual Arts and Media Arts students and staff) is celebrating another year of Scholastic Awards hard work and success! We are very pleased to announce the 2025 Minnesota Regional Scholastic Art Awards! Congratulations to the Perpich Gold Key, Silver Key, and Honorable Mention award winners and our hard working and inspiring teachers! With this list of impressive students, Perpich ranks third in the top five schools in Minnesota of those receiving the most awards in all categories.

Kathryn D’Elia, Studio Arts Chair and Visual Arts Instructor, said, “We are so excited to announce the results of the Regional Scholastics Awards for this year and want to honor the effort all Visual Arts and Media Arts students put into not only creating their artwork, but carefully documenting, editing, citing sources, writing statements, and following through on the task of uploading that content. This program gives us an opportunity to celebrate award winning, but also an opportunity to celebrate the process and realities of being practicing artists – some opportunities do not result in rewards, but all attempts give us knowledge, experience, and help bolster our skills. I am proud of the artwork the students submitted to represent Perpich.”

Perpich 2025 Regional Scholastic Art Awards – 73 awards received

  • 17 Gold Key awards
  • 20 Silver Key awards
  • 36 Honorable Mention awards

Gold Key works have been automatically advanced to the national level of judging in New York City. All 2025 national award recipients will be announced on March 26, 2025.

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards were founded in 1923 and, for more than a century, have inspired bold ideas in creative teens throughout the country. All entries are first considered regionally for Gold Key, Silver Key, and Honorable Mention awards. Entries that win a Gold Key are automatically considered for National Awards, including Gold Medal, Silver Medal, and scholarship awards. Jurors look for works that exemplify the Awards’ core values: originality, skill, and the emergence of a personal voice or vision.
