Studio Arts Juniors Present “Show of Growth Junior Exhibition”

Perpich Media & Visual Arts Juniors proudly present the final gallery show of the 2020-2021 school year. Show of Growth Junior Exhibition is the closing vision of a tough year full of progress and innovation. The exhibition is open to the public; please make an appointment ahead of time by calling 763-279-4200. The exhibit will run in the Perpich gallery until August 30th, 2021.

Show of Growth includes artwork created in Perpich art classes this year by members of the Class of 2022 and features animation, video art, drawings, paintings, prints, sculpture, digital art, and jewelry. The students selected at least one artwork that they were proud of or felt represented them well to be displayed on the gallery walls. Congratulations to all the artists and to their instructors for a great exhibition!

Reflecting on the exhibition, Kathryn D’Elia, Visual Arts Instructor, said, “The juniors were able to experience the incredible work the seniors did with their Capstone Exhibition in the gallery in the Spring. This exhibition for juniors only was their opportunity to take up that torch and put on their own show that exhibits their growth in their artwork and in this community over the past year; working together to plan for their spaces, layout artwork, solve logistical problems, and install that work with strong craftsmanship in mind. I am so proud of what they were able to accomplish with the support of their instructors and feel they will continue to be leaders in making our gallery exhibitions a success as rising seniors. They will set a strong example for our new class of juniors.”
