Webcomics and more!

If you are missing graphic novels from your local library, here are a few options for you as well as a couple of other sites that might be useful. In addition, there are LOADS of comics online that aren’t available on these apps/websites. You just have to do a little digging to find them.

Comic Extra – Biggest database for free Marvel, DC Comics, Dark Horse Comics Online.

GoComics – If comic strips are your thing, here is where you can find a bunch of them.

ShortBox comics – Contemporary, independent comic published by ShortBox comics who are releasing digital editions of their books for free (or pay as much as you can to support the artist), with a new title going up every Monday and Thursday.

Tapas or Webtoon – If you haven’t delved into the world of webcomics, now is the PERFECT time. Download the Tapas and/or Webtoon app and get lost in the amazing stories. For example, you can try our librarian’s favorite webcomic Heartstopper.

InstantWatcher – Wondering what to watch on Netflix or Amazon and dislike the way you are forced to search their offerings? This website helps you to more easily navigate their catalogs and narrow down your options of what to watch.

Harry Potter at Home – For those of you who are Harry Potter fans, access Harry Potter-related activities and free downloads here!
