ABOUT THE SUMMIT: Come together with a community of educators to create community, examine identity-based power dynamics, explore liberatory practices, and dance together. Nyama McCarthy-Brown and Selene Carter will support us as we work together to be more inclusive teachers.
- Practice inclusive embodied movement practices and ways of entering space that welcome people and signal belonging for all
- Develop a sense of community among participants as we dive deeply into sensitive and tender, identity-based topics
- Examine identity-based power dynamics in our teaching settings
- Develop tools that support collaborative dance arts and affirmation of all bodies, centering an anti-oppressive framework
