DETAILS: This thorough hands-on workshop will empower art educators to understand the opportunities they have to advance art education, increase their ability to create high quality standards-aligned curriculum, and make intentional decisions that support the students they teach.
TARGET AUDIENCE: K-12 visual and media arts educators
This workshop is right for you if:
- You want to increase your understanding of the new MN Academic Standards in Visual & Media Arts.
- You want a practical approach to utilizing the standards with proven, proactive, and program enhancing methodologies.
- You want new information and time to apply your learning to new units that you begin to create during the workshop.
- You want to collaborate with other art educators to share ideas and receive feedback for curriculum and assessment.
DESCRIPTION:
Workshop facilitator is Jeremy Holien, Visual and Media Arts Education Specialist in Professional Development and Resource Programs at Perpich Center for Arts Education. CEU hours are earned.
Cost: $25.00 per person – lunch included.
