This presentation is number one in our series of music curriculum resources. Today learn about affordable online music technology “right-sized” for secondary teachers’ needs. MusicFirst has a full-suite of options that include sight reading (Sight Reading Factory); performance assessment (PracticeFirst*); ear training (Auralia); theory (Musition); composition/notation (Noteflight); and on-line studio programs (Soundtrap and Soundation). Teacher’s choose which programs they want to include in their implementation, based on the skills to be developed and assessed. MusicFirst solutions are available from ONE login to a dedicated website built for each teacher/school/district – and work on virtually any internet device (smartphones, Chromebooks, iPads, Windows, and Macs) – and can integrate with Google Classroom, Remind, and Cut Time.
There is no cost for this workshop, and 2 CEU hours are earned. The day is hosted by Dr. Wendy Barden, Music Education Specialist in Professional Development & Resource Programs at Perpich Center for Arts Education.
Our presenter is Mike Olander, one of the Education Managers at MusicFirst.
