DETAILS: This thorough hands-on workshop will empower art educators to understand the opportunities they have to advance art education, increase their ability to create high quality standards-aligned curriculum, and make intentional decisions that support the students they teach.

TARGET AUDIENCE: K-12 visual and media arts educators

This workshop is right for you if:

  • You want to increase your understanding of the new MN Academic Standards in Visual & Media Arts.
  • You want a practical approach to utilizing the standards with proven, proactive, and program enhancing methodologies.
  • You want new information and time to apply your learning to new units that you begin to create during the workshop.
  • You want to collaborate with other art educators to share ideas and receive feedback for curriculum and assessment.

DESCRIPTION:
Workshop facilitator is Jeremy Holien, Visual and Media Arts Education Specialist in Professional Development and Resource Programs at Perpich Center for Arts Education. Lunch and morning refreshments are provided. There will be 5 CEU hours earned.
