RELICENSURE TOPICS THROUGH THE ARTS – CREATING MORE INCLUSIVE ARTS CLASSES FOR ENGLISH LEARNERS

FreeIn January – March 2025: Perpich Center for Arts Education is hosting a series of virtual sessions on three topics required for renewal of Tier 3 and Tier 4 licenses in Minnesota. This year, topics will be offered as both a one-hour session (part of a double header) and a more interactive two-hour session! Choose the date and option that works best for you.
CREATING MORE INCLUSIVE ARTS CLASSES FOR ENGLISH LEARNERS – This session focuses on instructional strategies that increase understanding and communication for English Learners—for all learners! One-hour sessions: Thursday, February 6 (5:20 p.m. – 6:20 p.m.) or Monday, February 24 (4:15 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.). Two-hour session: Tuesday, January 28 (4:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.)
MORE DETAILS:
- These are online/virtual sessions. The Zoom link will be sent to participants prior to the sessions.
- Sessions will NOT be recorded for later viewing.
- Participants are encouraged to engage fully with video cameras on if at all possible.
- Participants will complete a brief evaluation form to receive the clock hours certificate(s).
- There is no cost to participate.
- The presenter is Dr. Wendy Barden, Director of Professional Development and Resource Programs at Perpich Center for Arts Education. In these sessions, she weaves her 4+ decades of experience in music/arts education with the expertise of others to bring practical and important ideas for your teaching.
