Walz, Flanagan Announce Appointments to Perpich Board

Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan announced two new appointments and one reappointment to the Perpich Center for Arts Education Board of Directors. Joining the Board are: Jeimmy Yusty-Rojas and Elizabeth Winslow. Reappointed to the Board is: Paul Hustoles.

The Board of Perpich Center for Arts Education manages the Perpich Center agency. The Board of Directors, consisting of 16 members (including the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Education or designee and 15 members appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate), is responsible for policy and fiscal oversight of agency management and operations including a public residential arts high school, a statewide arts lending library, and professional development and resource programs. At least one member must be appointed from each congressional district, and no member may serve for more than two consecutive terms. Perpich Center for Arts Education provides all Minnesota students the opportunity to develop, enhance, and integrate their artistic and academic abilities to their highest potential.

The Governor and Lieutenant Governor are seeking qualified and diverse individuals who are passionate about using their knowledge, skills, and lived experiences to serve the state of Minnesota.
