Walz, Flanagan Announce Appointments to Perpich Board

Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan announced the following appointments to the Perpich Center for Arts Education Board of Directors:

  • Board member Paul Hustoles has been reappointed to the Board.
  • Joining the Board are: Rebecca Lynn Petersen and Janet Mohr.

The Board of Perpich Center for Arts Education manages the Perpich Center agency. The Board of Directors, consisting of 16 members (including the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Education or designee and 15 members appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate), is responsible for policy and fiscal oversight of agency management and operations including a public residential arts high school, a statewide arts lending library, and professional development and resource programs. At least one member must be appointed from each congressional district, and no member may serve for more than two consecutive terms. Perpich Center for Arts Education provides all Minnesota students the opportunity to develop, enhance, and integrate their artistic and academic abilities to their highest potential.
